The Epson Stylus Pro 9800 is regarded as the industry standard for quality photo and art printing and it is this unit that is used to print high definition Giclées on 800 gm Breathing Colour digital art canvas which, by the way, is made in the USA. This top quality product is generally regarded as the best art canvas available. It lends a soft, grainy texture to the print that is well suited for portraits, softer landscapes and stylised prints. This is different from the lower grade synthetic canvas which provides a less grainy banner-like effect. The ink used is guaranteed to be fade resistant for 60 years. Each canvas print is then carefully stretched onto a wooden frame. Frames are made to size specifically for each canvas print. They are constructed from kiln-dried New Zealand pine and are assembled right there in the studio. The edges of the stretched canvas are taped and finished and the frame is strung with quality framing string so it is ready to hang on your wall. Foam levelling dots are added to the edge of the print to help it sit flat against the wall. Finally, the Giclée is sprayed with two coats of lacquer to provide a protective surface to help guard against spills and other possible damage.
